Challenge is increasing its services for European sailmakers. We now provide a cutting-length service from our Nantes warehouse. Cut lengths start from 10 linear meters of material. Challenge is in touch with most of the cutting companies and can send your orders either directly to your loft or to your preferred cutting company.
An 105% jib on a furler and a mainsail of First 31.7 for a scandinavian sailmaker. Sails use a filmless technology and will be made in europe. Modern saildesign softwares helps to create efficient fibres layout and helps to control the DPI numbers on various location of the sail. Sail design cost start @ 55 euros, when a standard fibre layout cost 65 euros !
Challenge continues to expand its business within Europe, helped by its network of distributors. This week, I visited German sailmakers with Katja from Gotthard, our German distributor. A great trip, with very good meetings and discussions with German sail manufacturers.
