BOOT Düsseldorf is the must-attend event at the start of the season.It is an opportunity to hold numerous meetings with sailmaking groups from all over the world, and to present our new METRA technology as well as our new storage and cutting services.
Last week was an opportunity to visit, together with clients, the production site for woven fabrics in Thailand, as well as the storage facility. We had very productive discussions with Nate and Vicky about how our fabrics are manufactured and stored before being shipped to sail lofts around the world.
Tall ship sails are always interesting projects in terms of sail design, given the rigging configuration and the forestay loads. A total of 34 sails were designed in December for a project currently in its final stages. For this type of sail, Newport Endeavour 12.8 oz or 15.8 oz are the most suitable choice, thanks to its soft finish and its construction. n.
